We have a full-time opening, minimum one-year commitment. Annual (1099) is $250,000.

Here is a base-line scope of services, however, subject to change, based on regular assessment needs of the OR and Surgery departments.

Provision of Services. 

•             Participate in Call Coverage of the Anesthesia group (Non-emergent and Emergent):

o             Twenty-four (24) hour coverage – one (1) room, includes epidural services

o             Twenty-four (24) hour general surgery coverage – one (1) room

o             Three (3) general surgery rooms from 07:30 – 15:30

o             Two (2) general surgery rooms from 15:30 to 21:30 to finish add-on cases

•             Participate in Following Anesthesia Clinical Services:

o             Procedural sedation outside of Operating Room

o             Back-up Emergency intubation for difficult airway

o             Post-op care in Post Anesthesia Care Unit related to anesthesia/airway/pain

o             In-patient pain management consult

 •             Assist in the placement of Central Lines and Arterial Lines in case as assigned, and when on-call surgeons are not readily available to perform such duties (“Line Service”). CRNA will provide “back-up” line insertion service; however, the performance of such procedures shall not interfere with CRNA’s primary Anesthesia call obligations stated above.  (To participate in the Line Service, CRNA must submit his/her competencies and line insertion privileges to the Medical Staff Credentialing Office as per GMHA bylaws.) 

 o             CRNA will provide Line Service between the hours of 08:00 to 16:30; Monday through Friday, excluding Weekends and Holidays

o             The provision of Line Services by CRNA will be limited to the Operating Room, the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and the Intensive Care Unit

o             CRNA may elect not to perform the Line Service if there is a conflict in providing GMHA patient care. If CRNA is unable to perform Line Service due to patient care conflict, the reasons for deferral must be clearly documented in medical record. 

License to practice on Guam is issued through the Guam Board of Nursing Examiners.
